History and useful information
Capri is an island formed from limestone rock and is one of the highlights of international tourism. It has an inaccessible coastline, with many grottos, the most famous being the "Blue Grotto". The island has luscious subtropical vegetation, and bright blue sea, both of which enchant the visitor. Things to see on the island are the Villa San Michele, (former private home of the Swedish doctor "Axel Munthe),” the Augustus gardens, the Blue Grotto (sea conditions permitting), and the ruins of "Villa Jovis," palace of the Emperor Tiberius. A boat trip around the island is possible. A full day tour is recommended.

An unforgettable day on the beautiful island of Capri, frequented by the rich and famous. We leave Sorrento by hydrofoil, sailing along the beautiful Sorrento coastline. On arrival at Marina Grande port, we drive to Anacapri by minibus for a visit of Dr Axel Munthe's villa, who was a Swedish doctor whose best selling book "The Story of San Michele" recounts his time on Capri. After free time and lunch in Anacapri, we go on to chic Capri town and visit the Augustus Gardens, from where we can admire the famous Faraglioni rocks and Marina Piccola, where British actress Gracie Fields once lived. There is free time to visit the elegant boutiques, stroll in the famous main square, symbol of the elegant and glamorous Capri, and there is an optional boat trip around the island. We return to the port and to Sorrento.
