The so-called Villa of Poppea is a recently excavated imperial seaside villa with 60 rooms. Only half of it has been excavated so far. The best 2^nd style frescoes of the period adorn the walls, and a 180 ft swimming pool surrounded by rooms intended for leisure activities and relaxation give an idea of how the rich lived during the summer months. This excursion can be combined with Pompeii, Boscoreale, Naples, Herculaneum or Stabia.
